Geo-Political Impacts on Counterfeit Risk
Ian Blackman [Anti-Counterfeiting Forum]
Abstract:
This presentation will cover the risks from global political and economic pressures and why understanding them is as important as knowing your customers, your supply chain, and the details of the products and services that you supply.
Topics will include the Asian Dominance in manufacturing and assembly (Chip wars), the efforts to use tariffs, the US and European chip acts, and the current false economies of the semiconductor market caused by AI needs.
Sources will include data from the book Chip Wars, ECSN/IDEA data, and reports from Future Horizons (Malcolm Penn)
This will be an introduction to the topics that attendees need to research with respect to their key semiconductor needs.
