Abstract: Due to the current environment, electronic component shortages are having a huge impact throughout all industries that use electronic components. The Obsolescence and Shortage issues we are facing today are at a much larger scale than we have ever seen in the past. These issues are increasing the risk of Counterfeit items entering the supply chain. This session will discuss the reasons for the increased Shortages and Counterfeit risks as well as best practices to avoid Counterfeit by maintaining a solid Obsolescence and Shortage program.


Bio: Vernon Densler is a Product Marketing Manager at Sourceability, he holds a BS in Computer Information Systems from the Florida Institute of Technology. Prior to his role at Sourceability he was a Sr. Technical fellow at SiliconExpert and spent 18 years with Northrop Grumman, where he was the manager of the DMSMS and Spares & Repairs teams for the Strike Program as well as Aero Space Sector Co-lead for the DMSMS discipline, developing people, process and tools.
