Vernon Densler Shares His Insights on "Counterfeit Alerts" at the Symposium on Counterfeit Parts and Materials
Bio: Vernon Densler is a Sr. Project Manager at SiliconExpert, he holds a BS in Computer Information Systems from the Florida Institute of Technology, and he comes to SiliconExpert after spending 18 years with Northrop Grumman, where he was the AS Sector Co-lead for the DMSMS discipline, developing people, process and tools.
Abstract: Based on discussions with people from many different company types, it has been found that many of them have no real tracking mechanism in place to ensure that they are acting on the Counterfeit notices they receive. Those that do are very basic and would not stand up to an audit or in a lawsuit. This presentation goes through the types of tracking and why tracking is important. It also outlines some of the incidents that Vernon observed when he was in Product Support while working for a defense contractor.
