Our venue, MTC, is more than a venue for events like the Counterfeit Symposium. It is a public-private hub dedicated to reshaping industries for a sustainable world. Through collaborative efforts with leaders in the Aerospace Industry, Defense and security, and space technology, the facility houses key entities like the National Centre for Additive Manufacturing (NCAM), the Lloyds Bank Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre (AMTC), and the Aerospace Research Centre (ARC). Visits to these spaces may be possible with prior requests. The organizing committee will be happy to assist in the arrangements of visits.
MTC is a diverse community with over 100 members. From small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to global giants like Unilever, Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems, Siemens, DXC Technology, and AEGIS, this collective is actively contributing to the industry's evolution. You can find more information about industry interactions at https://www.the-mtc.org/events/industry-events/.
Coventry and Getting to It:
Coventry, located just a quick 30-minute train or taxi ride from Birmingham, is connected to major transportation hubs, and it's only an hour away from London by train. Within this well-connected region, Coventry offers a historical charm and contemporary attractions. The city combines centuries-old architectural heritage with impressive modern innovations. Visitors can explore landmarks such as St Mary’s Guildhall, Coventry Cathedral, Coventry Transport Museum, and the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum.
Birmingham:
The nearest big city to our venue and conference hotel is Birmingham, the UK's second-largest city and a prominent aerospace and defense industry center, boasting major companies like Rolls Royce, Collins Aerospace, BAE Systems, Northrop Grumman, and many more. Birmingham Airport has direct flights from the US and Europe, improving travel options for the symposium.
Birmingham is a major city in England’s West Midlands region, with multiple Industrial Revolution-era landmarks that speak to its 18th-century history as a manufacturing powerhouse. It’s also home to a network of canals, many of which radiate from Sherborne Wharf and are now lined with trendy cafes and bars. In the city centre, the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery are known for pre-Raphaelite masterpieces.
Birmingham is known for its Indian food, mainly Balti ghost. Shababs Indian Restaurant is considered one of the finest Indian restaurants in Birmingham’s Balti Triangle. With so many balti restaurants in the nation’s second city to choose from, you will not find a better balti.
