Based on the uniqueness, quality, readability, and archivability, the paper titled "Long Short-Term Memory Recurrent Neural Network for Remaining Useful Life Prediction of Lithium-Ion Batteries" by Yongzhi Zhang, Rui Xiong, Hongwen He, Michael G. Pecht has been selected as the best paper related to Vehicular Electronics by the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society for the year 2021.

The paper provides an answer to a question that has always stuck with us, can we trust the batteries that we are using? How long will the batteries last? It provides a way to predict the Remaining Useful life of lithium-ion batteries. The paper utilizes machine learning algorithms to determine the reliability of the battery and the advent of failure along with ways to mitigate those battery risks.
