Abstract:

The Anti-Counterfeiting Forum was formed in 2009 to help to exchange, develop and disseminate best practice and intelligence to mitigate against the threat of counterfeits in the electronic and electrical supply chains both online and by working closely with relevant Government and industry bodies and participating in relevant Government and industry forums. The Forum website contains a wealth of information and a separate password protected area for our registered website user community funded by website sponsorship to enable visitors to access all of the website content free of charge. Although the Forum was initially formed to benefit organisations in the UK, the international nature of the electronic and electrotechnical supply chains meant that content developed to encompass information on threats, trends and developments worldwide and the Forum’s website user community now numbers over 1,100 members across 51 countries. The Forum also organises annual counterfeit awareness seminars and occasional webinars and works collaboratively with other organisations to organise awareness events and provide presentations, talks and training courses as required. This presentation will set out the Forum’s capabilities and its website features in detail and provide time for any questions.
