Abstract:
The component shortage has been a problem in the electronics industry since 2018, and the COVID-19 pandemic has only exacerbated this issue. Demand for electronic components continues to rise, the supply dwindling and the prices increasing. To ensure the quality and reliability of components, testing is essential. The International Data Corporation forecasts that the internet of things, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality will drive worldwide spending on information technology to more than $1 trillion in the coming years. Today, electronic components are a vital part of these critical supply chains. Unfortunately, counterfeit electronic components are still an ongoing problem. These components can damage or even destroy equipment, and they can also put employees and consumers at risk. The processes developed by Retronix of safe component recovery & test is helping reduce the counterfeit market by providing a more secure and traceable supply chain. By recovering original components, companies can take control of their supply chain and ensure that they are using authentic and reliable parts. This helps to reduce the chances of counterfeit goods entering the supply chain. Moreover, component recovery helps to reduce waste and increase the lifecycle of electronics by ensuring that components are reused whenever possible. This helps to reduce the cost of production, improve efficiency, and preserve the environment. By implementing these strategies, businesses can help to reduce the counterfeit market and safeguard their supply chains.
