Jo Vann [GE Aviation]
Jo Vann has a remarkable career spanning over three decades, with extensive expertise in avionics, electronic component management, and anti-counterfeit measures. Currently serving as the IEC TC107 Technical Secretary for Avionics Process Management since January 2017, Jo takes a lead role in various working groups and committees, contributing significantly to standards development. With a background as a Principal Component Engineer at Hamilton Sundstrand, where Jo managed the utilization of commercial-off-the-shelf components for space shuttle and military programs, the depth of experience is evident. As a CEO, Senior Technologist, and Component Engineer consultant, Jo continues to play a crucial role in managing electronic component standards and participating in committees addressing issues such as anti-counterfeit measures, lead-free technologies, obsolescence management, and more. The wealth of knowledge Jo brings to the field is underscored by active involvement in standards development and a comprehensive understanding of electronic component issues in avionics applications.
