CALCE Alumnus (Ph.D. 2004) Dan Donahoe received the Meritorious Civilian Service Award for his service as a systems engineer at the Air Force Material Command at Hill Air Force Base, Utah from February 2016 to September 2021. Dr. Donahoe supported the modification and sustainment of command and control, radar, and communications systems. In this effort, he mentored fellow engineers and team members in the application of industry standards, configuration management, and science-based analytical approaches to problem assessment and resolution. His work substantially contributed to the sustainability and operation supportability of systems critical to the Air Force mission. Dr. Donahoe received his Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Michael Pecht. His Ph.D. dissertation focused on the impact of moisture on multi-layer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs).
