Next it will explore how certain industries drive material substitution faster than others and ramifications, to distributors and companies supplying multiple industries. An example will be given using substitution of the flame retardant deca-BDE driven by the Stockholm Convention ban within the automotive versus other industries including Defense. Short explanation on lab or material testing versus supply chain data collection requests, with details on formats used with a variety of success in deep supply chains. Conclusion will address common factors, acceleration of global legislation, number of chemicals restricted, and authentication techniques.
