Varun Khemani, Ph.D. Candidate, CALCE/ University of Maryland
Varun Khemani will present at the 13th Annual Conference of the Prognostics and Health Management Society (phm2021.phmsociety.org), which will be held virtually between Nov 29 and Dec 2, 2021. Varun will be presenting on Nov 29 at 15:00 EST his paper "Khemani, V., Azarian, M., & Pecht, M. (2021). Prognostics and Secure Health Management (PSHM) of Electronic Systems in Zero-Trust Environment. Annual Conference of the PHM Society, 13(1). https://doi.org/10.36001/phmconf.2021.v13i1.3006"
This research addresses hardware security in electronics since outsourcing in the fabrication of electronics has made them susceptible to the insertion of hardware threats in untrusted manufacturing facilities. This research proposes an extension of the PHM framework of IEEE 1856 to the PSHM framework in order to detect hardware threats in electronics in real-time.
