CALCE Reliability Science Symposium - Fall 2020

Wednesday, October 21, 2020
8:45 a.m.-4:45 p.m.

Agenda and Registration

On October 21, 2020, the Center for Advanced Life Cycle Engineering will present findings from research conducted over the past year. This meeting is an opportunity to learn about CALCE and some of the research that is being conducted. The meeting will be conducted entirely through WebEx. The meeting is free to all CALCE members. Presentations will include:

  • Durability of IMC and Copper Traces under Vibration & TC loads
  • Durability of SAC105 Interconnects under Combined Vibration and Temperature Environments
  • Modeling Methods for Response of Grain-scale Solder Interconnects to Multiaxial Loading, to Support Virtual Testing and Digital Twin Approaches
  • Solder Durability Modeling (Acceleration Factors, Life Models)
  • Measurements and Predictions of Residual Stresses Caused by Transfer Molding and Compression Molding Processes
  • Reliability of Fabrics Bonded with HAFs for Electronic Packing
  • Long Term Storage of Electronic Components
  • Impact of Ripple Current on Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors
  • Evaluation and Selection of Lubricants for Sliding Electrical Contacts
  • Approach for Assessing the Risk of Contact and Airborne Substances on Electronic Products
  • Detection of Counterfeit Microelectronic Parts Evaluation of Reliability Prediction Handbooks using IEEE Standards
  • Influence of gravitational convection on lithium dendrite growth
  • Two-stage nonlinear degradation behavior of lithium-ion batteries: modeling and mechanism analysis
  • Decoupling the thermal and non-thermal effects of discharge C-rate on Li-ion battery degradation
