On March 20 and 21, 2019, the Center for Advanced Life Cycle Engineering will hold its annual spring technical review and project planning meeting.  The technical review will cover 2019 research projects providing status update and an opportunity for CALCE members and guests to learn about project activities and findings.  The project planning meeting, held the second day, will provide CALCE members and guests the opportunity to provide input on projects being considered for 2020.  present findings from research projects being conducted for the 2019 research year. The meeting is open to all CALCE members.

Topics to be presented include:

  • Microvia Reliability Assessment for High Density Interconnect Circuit Boards
  • Reliability of Multilayer Polymer Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors
  • Evaluation and Selection of Lubricants for Sliding Electrical Contacts
  • Solder Interconnect Life Modeling of Irregular and Sequential Loading Cycles
  • Degradation of Optical Fibers under Temperature and Humidity Conditions
  • Vibration and Temperature Cycling Durability of SAC Solders: Effect of Sequential vs Simultaneous Loading
  • Reliability of Fabrics Bonded with HAFs for Electronic Packing
  • Measurement of Cure-dependent Properties of Dual UV and Thermal Curable Adhesive
  • Determination of Master Curves of Young s Modulus and Bulk Modulus of EMC over the Solder Reflow Temperature Range
  • Storage Reliability of Electronics: Refurbishment
  • Life Assessment with CALCE SARA Software

Attendance for individuals from organizations that are considering CALCE membership is available on a limited basis. Please contact Dr. Michael Osterman to learn more.
